| Overview

The ClimaVision Building Management System collects data from a variety of wired sensors installed across the building. These sensors transmit their readings to smart edge devices such as the SmartNode and HyperStat. In addition to gathering sensor inputs, these smart devices also measure certain environmental parameters.

All collected data is then sent to the Central Control Unit (CCU). The CCU maintains Bluetooth-based communication with the smart devices to receive real-time updates.

From the CCU, the aggregated information is forwarded to the BMS applications—Facilisight and internal portals—where facility teams can view system status, trends, and diagnostics. This transmission from the CCU to the cloud is enabled by the Control Mote (CM), which uses a reliable 900 MHz mesh network.

Both the CM and the smart devices provide a configurable transmission speed option, allowing users to select how frequently data is pushed to the BMS applications based on their needs (faster updates vs. network efficiency).

| Transmission Speed

The transmission speeds used in the ClimaVision system are of two types and are set in both the CM (Control Mote)

Note: The Transmission speed type set in the CM (Control Mote) should always match the transmission speed type set in the smart devices for proper communication.

Low Transmission Speed:

The 'Low' transmission speed is the default mode where the transmission happens via the digital modulation technique BPSK Modulation, and the data is transmitted at a speed of 40 Kbit/ sec.

Medium Transmission Speed:

The 'Medium' transmission speed, where the transmission happens via digital modulation technique QPSK Modulation, and the data is transmitted at a speed of 250 Kbit/ sec.

| Setting the Transmission Speed in MyStat

From the home UI screen of the Mystat.

  • Press and hold both the up arrow and down arrow buttons for 3 seconds

The Inputs screen Displays as below.

By default, the Transmission speed is “Low” speed, where the transmission happens via the digital modulation technique BPSK Modulation, and the data is transmitted at a speed of 40 Kbit/ sec

  • Press the down arrow buttons to set the required Transmission Speed to “Medium" speed,

where the transmission happens via digital modulation technique QPSK Modulation, and the data is transmitted at a speed of 250 Kbit/ sec.

  • Press the  confirm button to confirm the selection.

The Transmission Speed is set and the Installer options screen displays.
