HyperStat - 4 pipe FCU:
A 4-Pipe Fan Coil Unit (4PFCU) uses four pipes, two for chilled water and two for hot water, along with a fan that circulates room air across the coil. As air passes over the coil, it is conditioned by the water flowing through it.
In a typical setup, the thermostat controls only the fan operation and fan speed. The decision to supply hot or chilled water is made by the building’s central plant, not the local thermostat. As a result, the fan may run even when the available water temperature does not support the desired room condition, for example, running the fan while hot water is supplied when the space already requires cooling, which is inefficient and counterproductive.
Each coil is served by a pair of supply and return pipes dedicated to either heating or cooling. The unit determines the appropriate operating mode by sensing the supply water temperature, enabling it to activate the correct coil and avoid unnecessary fan operation when the available water cannot meet the room’s demand.
Community Engagement:
Leaderboard
The Leaderboard provides a transparent, points-based ranking of contributors across the platform, enabling users to track their progress, compare with peers, and gain recognition for their contributions. By making impact visible, it motivates sustained engagement and encourages high-quality knowledge sharing.
The Leaderboard balances healthy competition with collaboration by rewarding not just volume, but meaningful interactions such as likes, comments, bookmarks, and reuse.
It also surfaces top contributors and knowledge champions who are the platform experts who can be followed for quality tools that they create and reuse.
It is a clear, motivating system that makes impact measurable and keeps users actively contributing across portals and apps across various environments.
User Profile (Account Page Enhancement):
The User Profiles enhancement creates a unified community identity for each user by showcasing their name, contributions, followers, and certifications in one dedicated space. Today, active contributors lack visibility and recognition beyond leaderboards, making discovery and collaboration difficult.
This feature makes individual contributions visible and contextual, enables users to follow peers, and strengthens knowledge sharing across the platform. This feature enables
a more transparent and connected community where users are recognized for their contributions and can easily learn from one another.
Activity Logs
The Activity Log provides a centralized timeline of all meaningful interactions related to a user’s contributions and community presence, including likes, comments, follows, and copies. Today, these engagement signals are fragmented or hidden.
By surfacing interactions in one place, the Activity Log reinforces recognition, improves responsiveness, and drives ongoing participation.
Feedback System
The Feedback System enables users to comment, react, and share contextual feedback directly within Common Framework tools. Replacing scattered, informal feedback channels with an in-tool system, it improves content quality, collaboration, and traceability.
This transparent, collaborative feedback loop strengthens knowledge sharing and elevates the quality of Common Framework tools across portals and apps.
BACnet MSTP:
As part of enhancing the interoperability capabilities of the ClimaVision Building Management System, support for BACnet MSTP (Master-Slave/Token-Passing) has been added to the CCU. While the CCU already supports BACnet/IP communication, MSTP support enables seamless integration with a wide range of MSTP-based field devices, sensors, controllers, and third-party equipment commonly used in legacy and modern building automation environments.
With this enhancement, the CCU can now read data points from external BACnet MSTP devices and optionally write control values as part of its automation logic.
Version Management Enhancements:
Version management is an internal ClimaVision application, used to maintain the CCU & FW versions being released. The application keeps track of the latest/recommended, and outdated/deprecated versions, along with the username and timestamp of when the version was added and deprecated. It is also used to specify a minimum version requirement for every newer version added.
The version added and designated in the version management tool is cascaded to places in portals and CCUs for remote upgrades.
Golden Release Candidate:
With App Bundle version 5.0.4, we are introducing the Candidate for the Golden Release and initiating the Golden Circle workflow.
Workflow for Upgrading to 5.0.4:
- The internal workflow for the bundled app upgrade is as follows:
- Using the Install App bundle option in the Portal user can update to 5.0.4
- Once the CCU installation is complete, the app will reopen, and side apps will get updated.
- After 5 minutes of installation, the tablet goes for a reboot (if there is an update for the Home App)
- Once the tablet is up, Home App launches CCU, RemoteApp & BAC App, and all the versions will be updated in the cloud.
- With the fresh registration of CCU, configuration should be done after the reboot of CCU.
- It is recommended for the CM to be docked so that the bundle update is successful.
