HyperStat Screen Brightness Setting

| Overview

With the growing popularity of HyperStat, the hospitality industry was not an exception. Many small to large hotels were willing to install HyperStat in the customer rooms to make micro-level room control possible. HyperStat was successful in delivering what was promised, in terms of comfort and energy savings.

HyperStat being that successful the customers had a small problem and a suggestion for Carrier, it is the brightness in the HyperStat UI screens, which caused problems when the HyperStat was installed close to the view of the customer, which did not make the rooms completely dark during nights.

Owing to this problem and suggestion, the Carrier has added a feature in the HyperStat to reduce the screen brightness, to make sure the intensity of light coming out of the screens was not too high when set up.

| Setting Screen Brightness

To set the screen brightness for the HyperStat screens.

From the home screen of the UI

• Press the + & - buttons together to navigate to the other screens of the HyperStat

The Inputs screen is displayed initially

• Press the next button to navigate to the Installer options screen

The installer options screen is displayed.

• Press the down arrow to navigate to the options available under the screen.

• Press the down arrow  to navigate to the options available under the screen.

• Press the down arrow again to navigate to the Brightness option.

• Press the Select button to access the screen brightness options available.

• Press the down arrow to navigate to the screen brightness setting enabling option.

• Press the Select button to access the screen brightness setting enabling option.

• Press the up arrow button or the down arrow button to enable or disable the screen brightness setting

• Press Deselect button to confirm the selection.

• Press the down arrow to navigate to the screen brightness Lower limit option.

• Press the Select button to access the screen brightness limit setting options.

• Press the up arrow button or the down arrow button or use the touch slider to modify the lux values for the screen brightness lower limit.

• Press Deselect button to confirm the selection.

• Press the Down  arrow to navigate to the screen brightness upper limit option.

• Press the Select button to access the screen brightness limit setting options.

• Press the up arrow button or the down arrow button or use the touch slider to modify the lux values for the screen brightness upper limit.

• Press Deselect button to confirm the selection.

And thus, the screen brightness for the HyperStat is set to the required limit as below.
