Biometric Login for Mobile Apps

| Introduction

Biometric login is introduced for the ClimaVision Facility Manager and Occupant apps to make the applications more user friendly and secure. The implementation of biometric logins helps the user to avoid frequent logouts and further enables easy access to ClimaVision applications.

The advantages of implementing biometric login include:

(a) No Password Complexity: Biometrics reduces the complexity of dealing with passwords and remembering them every time a user has to login to the application. It also helps in reducing the tedious process of resetting and generating passwords through email and PIN at multiple instances.

(b) Enhanced Security: Biometrics provides enhanced security through fingerprint impressions.

(c) Better User Experience: Provides hassle free access to the application thus creating a better user experience.

| Enable Biometrics for the FM and Occupant apps

Launch ClimaVision for Facilities or Occupant app Login with username and password In the Facility Manager app, click the hamburger menu on the top-left. In the Occupant app, click the 3 dots in the top-right. Click Enable Biometric Authentication Confirm your choice Close app and reopen and choose Allow to grant permission to the app to use Face ID If you want to disable this function at any time, go through the same process
If Biometric setup is not enabled on the device, then the user will receive the following error message.
If the device is not compatible with biometric authentication, then the user will receive the following error message.
