| Introduction

The Unused parameter framework allows the utilized ports from different edge devices that may remain addressed physical points and their logical points that remain addressed.

The ClimaVision CCU Controller and its associated equipment are equipped with predefined algorithms that are designed to optimize performance and efficiency. However, in practice, not all ports in the paired equipment are utilized by the CCU. Hence there are physical points and their associated logical points that remain unaddressed.

The points on the CCU that require writability or historization by the CCU are dynamically determined. This ensures that the system has the flexibility to adapt to the specific requirements of each site, thereby enhancing its overall functionality and responsiveness.

| Unused Ports for External Mapping

This feature allows users to utilize unmapped and unused ports to control HVAC equipment via the site sequencer.

  • Users can activate unmapped ports by selecting "Externally Mapped" from a drop-down menu, making a control point available in the CCU.
  • Unused ports are listed under "Unused Ports for External Mapping."
  • Once a port's toggle switch is turned on and marked as "Mapped Externally," it can be controlled through custom sequences in the site sequencer.

| Profile Configuration

ClimaVision enables control of HVAC equipment through profiles available at the system and zone levels.

System-level profiles are paired in the CCU, with Input/Output (I/O) options for monitoring and control provided by the Control Mote board.
Zone-level profiles are paired in zone-level devices (SmartNode, Hyperstat), with I/O options provided by these devices. The available I/O options are limited by the selected profiles or configuration options.

System Profiles

System profiles are paired in the CCU, with Input/Output (I/O) options for monitoring and control provided by the Control Mote board.

When a system profile is selected, it provides a list of ports used in an algorithm. Users can turn ports on or off, affecting equipment control. Ports that are turned off are termed unmapped ports, as they do not influence external equipment.

Apart from the ports used in an algorithm, there are additional ports on the physical device that are not utilized in the algorithm. These unused ports are not visible to the user, and their usage cannot be customized.

Terminal Profiles

Unlike the system profiles, the unmapped and used ports in terminal profiles are only visible and can be considered post-configuration by clicking SET, every time after change.
