| Overview

IdroCONTROL is a Fan Coil Unit (FCU) controller designed to control individual zones in commercial building applications. The controller supports 2-pipe and 4-pipe FCU applications and provides control of connected HVAC equipment through configurable inputs and outputs.

IdroCONTROL can control functions such as:

  • Water valves ON/OFF
  • Fan speeds
  • Auxiliary or electric heating
  • Fresh-air dampers
  • Connected sensors and other field devices

The controller operates as part of the 75F building automation ecosystem and can communicate with the Central Control Unit (CCU) and Building Management System (BMS) through supported communication interfaces.

  • RS485 port for BACnet/Modbus communication.
  • Powers from a 240V AC supply.

| Precautions

  • Install as per all state and local electrical codes.
  • Do not mount the device in areas that expose the device to temperatures that could
    go beyond operating temperatures.
  • Do not mount directly in sunlight or a heating source.

|Profiles Supported

  • 2 - Pipe Terminal Fan Coil Unit
  • 4 - Pipe Terminal Fan Coil Unit

| Mounting

IdroControl should be installed on a DIN rail. To lock the DIN clip to IdroControl, use the screws provided to the back of the IdroControl. The DIN clip is spring-loaded, engage the lower end of the DIN clip onto the rail and slightly push upwards to compress the spring of the clip, pivot the device towards the DIN rail and release. The DIN clip will lock into position & hold the device firmly.

| Wiring

  • To wire the IdroControl, remove the insulation of the cable for about 7 mm (a little over ¼ inch), lift the flap, insert the wire and push the flap down. Try pulling the wire out to make sure it is firmly snapped in place. Refer to the image for a visual aid.
  • To remove the wire, lift the flap up and pull the wire out.

| Dis-Assembly

The following are the steps to be followed to disassemble the IdroNode device.

  • Confirm the IdroNode is de-energised, and you have clear access to the unit.
  • Locate the DIN-rail spring clip (usually on the top or bottom of the IdroNode).
  • Press or lift the spring clip slightly (direction varies by model) to release the snap engagement. Use a small flat screwdriver to depress the clip if needed.
  • While holding the clip open, slide the IdroNode vertically (upwards or downwards as
required) to free the hooked edge from the rail.
  • Tilt the unit away from the rail (pivot on the remaining edge) and lift it off the rail.
  • Support the device with both hands as it clears the rail so the terminal wires don’t pull
    or kink.
