Before placing a service call for a ClimaVision issue please verify that the CCU firmware is up to date. This is easily done by:
- Check which version the CCU is currently running
2. Check what firmware versions are currently available. Scroll down to System Tuners and click on dropdown arrow next to Select Command and then the arrow next to Update CCU as shown in the following three examples, this will indicate the current recommended firmware.
3. If an update is required verify the firmware migration path with the chart below as some older versions cannot be updated to the current version in a single step.
4. If the migration path includes versions that are not shown in the CCU Update drop down in step 2 you will have to manually select the version.
5. To manually select a version, click on the recommended version and you will see the following information
6. To change version you will simply backspace out the version shown (3.0.8) and insert the required version for example, if updating from version 2.1.9 as shown on the first line of the chart in step 3, you would need to go to 2.4.13 and the line would read CCU_carrier_prod_2.4.13.apk, then update again to 2.7.4 and again to 2.17.3 and finally to the recommended version, at the time of this document it is 3.0.8
7. When ready to do the update click on the blue arrow next to the version number and you will get a 10 second delay before you can proceed with the update.
8. Firmware updates on the CCU typically only take a few minutes.
9. Once completed the new version will show at the top of the page as shown in step 1 above.
10.When doing multiple different types of firmware updates, they must be done in the following order
All CCU Updates
All Home App Updates
All Remote Access App Updates
All BAC App Updates.
11. If your firmware v3.0.7 or higher you will utilize the "Install App Bundle" feature to update all programing at the same time in only one step.
